Christmas is definitely on the horizon when our little township
puts on its street party early in December. There usually is a
street parade with a fire engine and decorated everything from
the ambulance down to littleies with tinsel on their tricycles.
has a bit of fun. This deliciously dressed up young lady chose
to pose for me. Don't you just love the smile for the camera?

I must say we had a whale of a time!
fairyland display on the riverbank below the brewing works.
I hope you noticed the whale actually spouting water.

fairies and Vulcans forge smoking at intervals.
all the reindeer pulling as hard as they can and getting nowhere.
I had seen this all before in its dormant state so I was glad we
stopped and enjoyed all the workings for a little while.
To all of you out there flapping your wings in cyber space,
A VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS
Stay well, stay happy, stay safe if you are travelling and above
all, LOVE EACH OTHER!
A big thank you to the MY WORLD Team for steering us safely
through another year of sharing what is dear to our hearts.
What a fun, beautiful look at your world, Arija!! I love it! I particularly love the fact that it is and looks so deliciously WARM!! We actually had some sunshine yesterday and my son took me down to the harbor to catch some shots and that was fun! Have a good week and wishing you a very Merry, Joyous Christmas although I'm quite sure this isn't the last time you'll hear from me this week!!
ReplyDeleteMuch love to you,
Sylvia
Terrific! Your town goes all out for Christmas! I was pleasantly surprised to see all the characters, especially the cast of The Wizard of Oz!! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteOne of the nice things about this time of year is seeing the many ways people around the world celebrate the season. I love the little girl dressed in red, in this part of the world people are bundled up a bit more.
ReplyDeleteWe will be among those on the road this week, praying for better weather than we have been having. Have a wonderful holiday, Arija.
To me,this is so strange to see decorations without snow on the ground.Have a wonderful Christmas.

Looks like you had a great time. It seems so different to see Christmas celebrated where there is so much greenery, although I do remember one Christmas here that it was 60 deg, and we had a fire in the fireplace Christmas eve with all the windows open!A rare occassion indeed.
ReplyDeleteHappy Holidays to you and your family.

I love this, Arija! Local fairs are such fun, and it's interesting to see how similar they are the world over.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes and happy new year!
Your photos radiate a lot of fun and warmth, like Sylvia says! This is all in great contrast with my snowy world. Even if snow is beautiful most people prefer a warmer climate.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Christmas, Arija!
That looks like a great town. Have a wonderful Christmas!
ReplyDeleteheheheh, you in Australia even have Santa come in a fire engine. I was up in the Gold Coast, and I saw santa hitching a ride on the fire engine. Your Aussie heat must be too much for poor reindeers. LOL
