The Grey Fantails have been around since late summer and try as
I might, I don't seem able to get a good shot at them.
Same place, just cropped
and flitting just above the ground.
I thought I'd throw in an Adelaide Rosella for good measure.
They are just coming into mating plumage.
Happy birdwatching everyone!
You have such exquisitely colourful birds over there Arija.
ReplyDeletenice shots! most i like the last one. how he is looking at us :)
ReplyDeleteI, too, love your beautiful, colorful birds!! Wonderful captures for the day as always, Arija! Hope your week is going well!

The birds do not seem to understand the needs of photographers to sit still while we do our work!
ReplyDeleteThe Fantail reminds me a little bit of our mockingbird. That last bird has gorgeous colors!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colours!! Boom & Gary of the Vermilon River, Canada.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the Fantail and the Rosella.
ReplyDeletethe fantails are a sweet bird; liking your differing rosella type too
ReplyDeleteSome great shots. Not a bird I've come across before. Nice and colourful.

Happy birding and photographing Arija!
ReplyDeleteFascinating to see these birds - all new ones for me and each one very beautiful. Good job in capturing them!
ReplyDeleteHi there - I'm glad I'm not the only one who struggles with this bird. They are just too active!
ReplyDeleteNice parrot!
Cheers - Stewart M
Your Gray Fantails look a wee bit like our Mockingbirds. Very nice!
ReplyDeleteI would like one of those powerful zoom lenses that cost a fortune so I can get better shots from far away. Sadly that will have to wait until I win the lottery. ;) Love your bird shots!
ReplyDeleteRubbish by Roan
Your photos show why he's called a Fantail. Lovely shot of the Rosella!
ReplyDeleteLovely bird shots. The one at the bottom is simply beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLove all your different birds Arija.
ReplyDeleteHope the week is going well for you. We are doing OK so far this week.
Catching up on stuff I missed and glad I saw this one...that fantail is great and I think your pictures are fine.....can't get over that colorful bird (parrot, lorikeet ???) just sitting there on the fence (like the ordinary bird he is for you, but he sure wouldn't be for us!).
