SkyWatch - Grey on Grey

A hopeful day for rain which actually developed during the night

I had occasion to drive by a reservoir yesterday. The view was
great but no place to stop between guardrail and cliffs, just this
tiny spot where I could stop for a moment, dash across the road
in fear of my life and snap a few shots

with less and more foreground.
Not much scope for movement as I leant against the guardrail
while being hooted at by passing motorists.

  1. Oh I had to see what you had shared. I am on a quick visit to the blog as we are 2,000 miles from home and Internet service gets lost, more than in. Your images are breath-taking, just so delicate and yet powerful...hugs~

  10. Beautiful skies reflected on still waters. What a pity there's no where to stop for photos along here, I've often driven by and wished there was a little by-way to pull over and capture the moment.

  18. Those are breathtaking captures! It's funny, they exude such calm and peaceful thoughts, it's a little difficult to imagine a noisy highway and mad dashes across it associated with them :) I'm so glad that you made it back to tell the tale and share these with us, thank you!

  20. Beautiful monochromatic pictures of your reservoir --- which looks a great deal like "ours" did the last week we were there (I have some pictures I am saving for another post later.)
