Pea soup in Singapore
the same in Hong Kong
and even on the Great Wall in a remote area.
Sorry, I could not find the ones of people wearing
smog masks in Beijing.
If you think this is bad, think of me with my lungs blocked and
my barely functioning heart not coping well at all.
No, I'm not exposed to pollution here on the farm, those shots
are from our trip to China 12 years ago.
I'm just sick as a dog with some dreaded lurgie.

It looks like I shall make a strategic retreat for a while
and take to my bed.

Ah, that doesn't look good at all, Arija!! You did get great captures of it though!! Stay home and breathe!! Take care!!
ReplyDeleteDear Arija,
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry, wished I could you send some cleaner air from Austria!
I hope the smog clears and you are feeling better again, soon. Much love, Merisi
Scary! Never been to these places; Cairo is the worst I've seen.
ReplyDeleteI recall awful pollution in Rome and in Athens, but China is the worst for air quality. Their pollution hurts trees in Canadian forests! Take care, dear friend.
ReplyDeleteHI Arija I am so sorry you have great difficulty breathing but I hope it improves very soon. Snog and fog are no goo for anyone.
ReplyDeleteBy most of your comments, it looks like I wasn't clear enough.
ReplyDeleteThe pictures are from 2002, me being laid low is, unfortunately, right now. Nice clean air, just my lungs are not.
Too much smog. Take care.
ReplyDeleteSad about all the smog but the shots are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou must have a strong will to overcome those environments! Wonderful shot of the Great Wall.
ReplyDeleteOh no, I'm sorry you are not well. Please take care. The smog here can be bad at times too because of the mountains. Other times, not so bad. I think much better than Beijing. xx
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry. Caring, healing thought flooding your way.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you are having breathing problems. Air pollution is a problem in many cities and good to hear you are in clean air now.
ReplyDeletePhotos are so accurate ~ When I was in China they had terrible pollution ~ Be well ~ great post ~ thanks, ^_^

yes I can understand how that would get to you; not good to live in those conditions, or holiday in them either. Enjoyed your photos to take us there Arija. Carole, at snaphappyonline.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteOh dear Arija ... I am so so sorry that pollution has gotten so bad in your corner of the world and I hope it is only a seasonal thing that will get better soon. Take care of yourself and get well asap. Sending all the good thoughts I can.
ReplyDeleteHoping for you to feel much better soon.
ReplyDeleteYou need to escape to some fresh air. Hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteThe photos are wonderful what a neat trip! I hope you are feeling better now, take care.. Have a happy week!
ReplyDeleteHope the retreat to bed helps!
ReplyDeleteSmog is never good.
Cheers - Stewart M
Having lived in both Singapore and HK I know what you mean, Australian air is good! Shame you are not up to enjoying it at the mo. Hope you feel better soon!

I am so sorry you are ill! My international students (in Vancouver) told me about the terrible pollution in some of their countries. It was one of the first things they mentioned about appreciating Canada. Pollution is no joke! Rest and heal well!
ReplyDeleteYes Arija, that's the best place to be with warm lemon & honey drinks. We have had some very foggy mornings down here on the plains but way too cold for me to venture out with my camera. Hope you're on the improve soon.
ReplyDeleteSad that there is so much pollution in the world. We get inversions in the winter when it's very cold that keep all the pollution in the valley, and then of course we can get lots of smoke in town during the summer if there are big forest fires. No forest fires this year as we've had lots of rain with rivers at flood stage.
ReplyDeleteOh My dear Arija, do take care and tea, drink the hot tea with honey, and steam baths, hot steam bath and breathe as deeply as you can. Love and hugs, please get well soon
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrible sight. How wrong that anyone should be exposed to air they can see. Glad you are on the clear aired farm and hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteHealing wishes to you, and the whole Mother Earth too, Arija!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are recovering Arija. I don't like to think that you are still sick. Please Get well. xo
