These birds were photographed in April at the
Wetlands in Yeppoon, Queensland, Australia.
Flight of the Egret

Although the water levels were down, it was still
pretty exciting. Egret, White Ibis and one
Straw-necked Ibis, Threskiornis spinicollis in flight.

Frogmarching White Ibis, Threskiornis molucca
one got lucky and caught his breakfast.

some really beautiful pictures
the first shot of one in flight is fantastic. To get such a close up shot is very hard to do. Good for you!
Fabulous birdie shots, Arija. The first one is stunning, but I especially like the composition of the second one.

I love these. The fist egret is my favorite in that antique naturalist postcard way. Fantastic.
I like the ibis marching forward together.
Very nice bird shots - it's almost like they were posing for you.
Those are magical birds that you were lucky enough to photograph..
Egrets are so graceful looking in flight. You captured it well. And I like the "follow the leader" formation of the ibises. Thanks for posting and sharing.
Lovely shots of the wading birds. I like the picture of the ibises.
