The skies have been mediocre this week so here
is the last golden sunrise we have enjoyed.
It rose in streaks of molten gold sweeping the sky
Barely shedding a little light further up in the sky
as the sun burst forth in a glowing blaze
my eyeballs aching, my head in a daze
I hid behind these sheltering trees
and give you the next shot to give your eyes ease
of a clear and sparklingly bright spring sky
with green trees gently kissed by a breeze.
The Logo unlocks skies around the world, enjoy!
To Klaus and our industrious SkyWarch team,
as ever my thanks for providing this meme.

ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful! Both photos and poem! We haven't got many great sunrises, but the sunsets are often wonderful, though now the sky is overcast. We might get some snow.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunsets, Arija. Now that we live in the countryside, I am gifted with amazing ones too.
ReplyDeleteThanks a million for your wise advise. I listened carefully.
I thought you would like to find out an updated on the letters I found in the house but couldn't find your email.

Hi Arija, your golden sunrise makes me feel so good this morning... just what I needed.. we are receiving a messy snow storm, and everything is dull and gray... Thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! And in the daylight shot it looks as if the trees are marching to the clouds!
ReplyDeleteI love those graceful trees silhouetted against the sunrise.
ReplyDeleteMarnie

ReplyDeleteHallo Arija,
Wow, Arija! Beautiful photos!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful and ispiring set of photos as usual. The sunrise is wonderful and its colours are so vivid, but the last photo is my favourite. It is so calming and welcoming in some way. Sublime.

Oh to be warm again! Soon we will switch places in the sky. Your comments on Nina's post were just beautiful, lilting, poetic. I just had to come over here and get warm again. You have such a beautiful blog.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful golden skies. I have yet to see a mediocre sky from you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors in all of them!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sunrise and lovely poetry to go along with those incredible pictures!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah... now that's what I'm talking about. Brilliant sunrise and well worth getting up early enough to capture it! Well done. Well done indeed! Brilliant color, and I love the silhouette of the trees against it.

What a beautiful golden sunrise!
ReplyDeleteI like the puffy white clouds in the blue spring sky too.
It's nice to see spring and winter skies while it's winter overhere in The Netherlands.
I like the golden colours on the first three photos. The sky looks like burning; the effect is just stunning. And, the last shot is a story for itself. After having read those beautiful lines which go with the photos it seemed to me that I could feel that gentle breeze among the green trees. Really lovely!
ReplyDeletelovely sunrise shots! love the burst of colours!
ReplyDeleteArija: That is a really neat look at the golden sunset, nice photos.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful photos for SWF. Love the beautiful colours of the sky. Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful golden sky :)
ReplyDeleteArija: you are a very intuative spirit. You picked up on my mood when you viewed my ~todays flowers~ post..my worries were consuming me then. I sure could use your Reiki treatment right about now..better yet mother could...tests continue.. NOT good..no diagnosis for this setback but in my heart I know what the outcome is..thank you for caring.
ReplyDeleteaNNa xo
Arija, you are so lucky to be living in a sunny part of the world right now. This time in Utah, USA we are buried deep in snow...the high temp for last tues was 2 degrees! I check in on your blog just to see some lovely warm sunshine and green growing trees..keep your "ordinary" as they may seem landscape pictures posted..they inspire those of us in snowy lands. I can only look through my seed catalogs and dream of spring.
ReplyDeleteOhh, that truly is golden.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are unbelievably gorgeous! And, you got up for a sunrise too! The colors are so intense, such golds!
ReplyDeleteThat is one of my goals - to one day haul myself out of bed and drive to the park to capture a sunrise. Sadly, I'm currently lacking the motivation on these cold wintery mornings....
Thanks for stopping by my blog!
Golden sunsets ! Guess what : these make me think of coffee, that's how I am influenced by the coffee packages over here : some brand has a black package with a golden sunset, just like this photo. Btw do coffeeplants also grow in australia ?
ReplyDeleteThose are fabulous sunrise shots. So beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSTUNNING ARIJA! : - D
ReplyDeleteSuch stunning sunrises! Makes me want to get up earlier in the day!!! Very nice SkyWatch.
ReplyDeleteWll captured, the colors are fantastic and it is nice to see some blue slies for a change.
ReplyDeleteLovely series of images. Boy that was one incredible sunrise...well worth getting up for. Your poetry is charming. Thanks for visiting my SWF post. Enjoy the weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh that very first shot is exquisite. I truly love the colour variation in that one.
ReplyDeleteThe spring birches makes me long for the light and warmth of spring time. Birches especially have such a delicate and nearly see through quality of their leaves when they first break out.
Beautiful golden skies! Sure makes me feel a little warmer. :)
ReplyDeleteThese really are beautiful pictures. All your photos here are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely golden sunset. Thanks for the description, too.

Thanks for stopping by my skywatch pictures--to answer your question--no filter! I just used my little point and shoot digital Nikon coolpix. I did warm them a bit with my picassa program but that was all.
ReplyDeleteYour pictures are stunning! The one with the sun down low behind the black trees is especially gorgeous.
*smiles*
Kim

ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. Ironically the creek that still flows in my picture is actually frozen over on the other side of the bridge and covered in deer tracks.
Ooops, sorry I wasn't paying attention in my previous comment - Stunning sunRISE :) Those are unusual colours for a sunrise, I think that is what confused me! Very beautiful though.
ReplyDeleteI hope you don't mind, I have tagged you for a meme on my blog.
Wonderful sunrise, very beuatiful
ReplyDeleteSunrises are the most wonderful pictures you can take. But you have too get up early, and I'm not good at that point ...
