naked trees showing the essence of their being are
thinking now of Spring.
Please enlarge them to enjoy their beauty!
These are the last of the winter skies, soon, too soon
clouds will be in short supply, the sun already burns
and the warm north wind dries out the soil.
Another month and this will be the scene, hope in
the sky but always passing by.
One more sunrise to add some colour to our lives.

A big thank you to Klaus and our SkyWatch Team
for continuing this informative meme.
Oh these photos are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThere is something so lovely about a bare tree against a grey, winter sky. Fall is just around the corner in my little neck of the woods. Yay!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I always look forward to the coming of Spring there is something so beautiful about bare trees isn't there? I thik this is particularly so when they are on the edge of bare ploughed earth.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos Arija
Bare trees against the sky.
ReplyDeleteSo very beautiful.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I'll also enjoy the beautiful lush fields with the sheep and cattle ... or the water ... calming. Gorgeous photos all.
ReplyDeleteSpring can be such an amazing time of rebirth. Sure hope you get more rain to make it happen.
ReplyDeleteIt is so strange seeing winter shots as I am used to our trees in leaf but they are so calming and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures and words!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to have to admit it, but I fell for those summer fields in the third picture.
ReplyDeleteA beautiful series of photos of your winter skies - and I love your descriptions, too.
ReplyDeleteMagnificent shots as always, Arija! You never, ever disappoint! The first ones really look wintery, but the promise is in that gorgeous sunset!
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Sylvia
Those trees without leaves against the sky are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies and shots.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend Arija.
Beautiful skies! Right now my garden is so very dry. Might have to start watering some of it!
ReplyDeleteI love the sense of your winter fading as our summer fades.
ReplyDeleteThe Earth's polar yin-yang, I think.
Great photos, and beautiful sunrise.

Beautiful shots!!
ReplyDeleteThe last one is just stunning :)

Hard to think of winter skies in the heat of our summer. Lovely captures. I love the last, the colors are so captivating.
ReplyDeleteI too love the bare winter trees against the sky. Every season has it's beauty, and as your spring comes around I'm starting to notice little touches of autumn here.
ReplyDeleteJanice.

ReplyDeleteJanice.
You have really nice photos for skywatch.
ReplyDeleteLove your sunrises! And the blue sky with clouds over the field is idyllic!
ReplyDeletelovely... especially love the last one!
ReplyDeleteThe third photograph is absolutely beautiful. I love BIG clouds! The fourth one would make me so happy to see it in person. We only get those kinds of skies during the hurricanes! We have to pay for them big time.
ReplyDeleteI keep forgetting it is winter down there. We are just starting to see the first bits of red in the trees here in New England. You will be enjoying spring flowers just as our tree flame into color.
ReplyDeleteI am spoiled for choice with these images. From cool skies to fiery golds always so beautiful. Not like our winters at all.
ReplyDeleteHallo Arija,
Thank you for these beautiful skies!
ReplyDeleteLovely sky series as always ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Lovely winter skies and exquisite photos!
ReplyDeleteWhat a joy to come back here and dance through your pictures - stunning skies, one more beautiful than the next.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful skies in you wonderful part of the world, Arija.
ReplyDeleteYou words have such a calm and soothing affect on me, thank you. Its always a delight to visit...
I love that top one. Trees without leaves are really interesting to look at.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty skies, Arija! Each one is so different - a nice collection!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful collection of photos showing the changing nature of the sky. Thank you for sharing with Sky Watch Friday, spring is not far away now.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous skies. I hope your weather is kinder this spring and summer than it was last year!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! I love the dark moody look of the first shot. Your sunset shot is ablaze with color!
ReplyDeleteThese are all just lovely, especially that sunset.
ReplyDeleteI think I see a bird waiting for spring in the tree of the first photo.
ReplyDeleteAll the best, Maria
The colors in that last shot are amazing. Great set.
ReplyDeleteGoodbye beautiful winter! These shots are gorgeous...can't wait to see what spring brings...
ReplyDeleteThis are a beautiful series of photos but I always am surprised when you mention winter! Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSmiles and blessings
Arija, all beautiful as usual. The sunrise is outstanding though. When I read your sentence about "The Logo opens an Alladin's cave of skies" I thought at first that you were referring to The Logos; The Word, as "In the beginning was the Word..." I suppose it could be read either way!
ReplyDeleteYes spring will soon be at your place. MB
ReplyDeleteGreat blog. Great photos. I love the Murray River. Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteWOW, the last one is simply stunning, great picture ans superb colors!!!
ReplyDeleteWell done
Have a nice SWF
The little spot of blue in the second photo is pretty... As if I was to stay here and watch it open up and see the sun pour out! =)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful colors in the last picture!
Hugs♥
Your photos take my breath away over and over again. This series of photos is fantastic. The last two look spectacular.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed this post very much, Arija.
ReplyDeleteNot only the pictures are beautiful - specially the last two - but your text was very nice too. It's pleasant to read you can almost see the end of the winter. Overhere it's still summer and warm. Funny: your north wind brings warmth, are north wind always brings colder weather.
This is the reason why I like SWF so much. :-)
Enjoy your weekend!
Beautiful pictures all of them, but I fell for the last one. What more can one ask for if not a beautiful sunrise.
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
These are all so beautiful. I love the color of the sunrise but I also love bare branches against the sky. Great shots.
ReplyDeleteIt's great to get perspective from the very "deep South." Thanks once again for the lovely photos--and a reminder to us in the norther hemisphere that summer doesn't actually last forever!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing collection of such unique and artistic sky scapes!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful!!!!
Beautiful sunset, and great cloud photos. Hope your spring and summer bring a relief from drought.
ReplyDeleteSomething special to love in each of the images: the sky through the bare trees in the first one, the hole in the clouds in the second, grass in the third, and a colorful sunrise in the last. They are all so beautiful, thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to imagine those wintry skies when we are finally having summer heat here at last. Beautiful sunrise, so dramatic.
ReplyDeleteAnother great panoply of skies!
ReplyDeleteThese are just great. I especially love the last one.
ReplyDeleteI can sense spring inching your way in these clear sky photos. Always a pleasure to see your down under images.
ReplyDeleteA wonderful set of pictures and lovely writing also..
ReplyDeleteArija: So nice to see the colorful sunrise.
