No, these are not from today. I needed some warmth on this cold,
wet winter's day so I am posting these that I took in February, in
the heat of our summer. They cover a large pergola shading our
carport.

Nice reminder of summer. Stay warm and dry, it will be back.
ReplyDeleteI love the combination of pink bloom against idealic blue skies.
ReplyDeletesuch pretty pink trumpets! i'd gladly share some of our heat! it's going to be our 8th day of 100 degrees F or more. one day this week was 105. blech...
ReplyDeleteGood to have reminders of warmer times! We watched Super Rugby finals between the Reds and Crusaders played in Brisbane yesterday. I noticed people were bundled up against the cold and had to remind myself that the Southern Hemisphere is experiencing winter now! This everning my brother posted about the freezing conditions in South Africa. Here I am in the Northern Hemisphere (only just, we live about 60kms above the Equator) and have the most beautiful weather all year! Keep warm, Arija. Blessings, Jo
ReplyDeleteSveicināta, Ārija!
ReplyDeleteEs jau biju pārsteigta, domājot, ka šie ir jau tikko uzziedējuši krūmi. Bet, nē, pagājušās sezonas fotoattēls. Skaisti!
Mums atkal ir iestājies ilgstošs siltuma periods, kas tuvojas jau +30 grādiem. Viss atkal tik krāšņi zied.
I'm also very grateful that you have archives to dig into. Won't be long now... Spring is just around the corner for you. Love the pink and blue combination. It's so invigorating! Take care Arija.
ReplyDeleteAren't you glad you have pictures to enjoy on those dreary winter days! Hope things are going well.
ReplyDeleteHugs. I think of you often my friend, and thank you SO much for teaching me about why birds open their wings when it's hot out.

Those are so lovely and delicate looking. It's fun to look back during winter on the growing season. I'm looking forward to winter so I can do that since as much as I love flowers I don't like the summer heat we are experiencing. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side . . .
ReplyDeleteSo hard to think of you in winter when it is so hot and humid here..but I do love it..I just make sure I drink water and not get too overheated...hugs..
ReplyDeleteLovely.
ReplyDeleteI just love the flowers againt the clear blue sky.
ReplyDeleteWonderful contrast between the pink blossoms and the blue sky!

ReplyDeleteLight Trigger: OUR ENTRY
Hallo Arija,
Hartmut
The sight of this photo would warm anyone on a cold winter's day, and in my case on a very hot and humid one. Thanks Arija.
