striking light effect that does not
reach the clouds yet
a few minutes later
and the clouds are revealed in all their glory
This afternoon I lay on my back on the lawn and
studied the grey, cloudy skies
I have not done so since I was a child.
I'll be doing so again often.

Both are amazing! When we were children, my brother and I used to lay down on the grass and look for shapes in the clouds. Fun times.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos. Contemplating the skies while have full contact with the earth is what I call green therapy. And it works for all of us.

Yeppers lying down on your back is the best way to take skywatch Friday shots unless it is muddy. Thumbs up!

Beautiful skies, Arija. The sun made it's way out of the clouds here this evening after a week of constant cold dark rain. Not only did the birds & frogs sing.. I did too!

Arija, lovely captures. Sounds like a fun time watching the sky! Have a happy day!
ReplyDeleteFor watercress soup, sweat a chopped onion in a small amount of butter until the onion is transparent, then add a medium sized chopped potato, a chopped bunch of watercress, less the really tough lower stalks, half a pint of chicken stock (or veggie stock) and half a pint of milk. Cover and simmer for about twenty minutes, then put through the liquidiser. Just before serving add a generous amount of single cream (you could do this by swirling it on to the top of each bowl, which is what I do). Season to suit your taste - enjoy.
ReplyDeleteLove you captures of the clouds! I haven't laid on my back to watch them for years. It's the best was to watch them though.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and your sweet comment.
