ReplyDeletelovely warm shadows today...love the rock formation. textures.
ReplyDeleteThe arid land has a rough hewn beauty, the soil, gravel and rock formations leaving a solid land under the blue expanse of sky. I am glad you advised us to enlarge the pictures, as the last one looked like snakes before, but are stirrups or something like that. The illusory changes are quite neat!
ReplyDeleteThat second shot is magic - I love the colours.
ReplyDeleteBoth the skywatch, and these photos are a great look at a
ReplyDeletepart of your country, which we should have a greater knowledge of. Boom & Gary of The Vermilon River, Canada.
Such summery, warm shadow shots! Fascinating place and another that I would love to visit! Superb captures as always, Arija!

Yes, I agree, you do. Your photos leave me with a strong desire to visit there. I especially like the third one - and enlarged it's even better. All are beautiful. Happy SSS.
ReplyDeleteI believe I'd like the Outback myself. Love the iron straps and shadows. Trying to figure out how they work.
ReplyDeleteLove it reminds me of a school camp i went on :-) http://flowerphotography1.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteI suspect you get many sunny days and shadows in the outback, and you're right, the photos benifit from enlarging.
ReplyDeleteLovely photos - I want to jump on a plane and come for a visit!!
ReplyDeleteThe Outback has always sounded so mysterious to me. Looks like the perfect place for finding shadows. :)
ReplyDeleteArija....these are beautiful shadow shots. I love seeing photos of Australia. It's my husband's dream to someday visit there...number one place on his list.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe I got two new lenses for my camera for Christmas and I have yet to try them out.....things are just way too busy around here. I'm leaving for San Diego this coming week on business, but I hope to find a little time to "play" with my new stuff while I'm there. San Diego is a great place to shoot.
Once again, love your photos....will be showing them to my hubby and he can dream of Australia for awhile. :)
Happy New Year...
Elaine

Your images capture perfectly a remote, natural area.
ReplyDeleteVery nice shots! I thought the last one contained snakes as well...glad it didn't! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous shots.
ReplyDeleteLove these! I really wish to visit outback parts of Australia. I've only ever visited crowded cities and coastal areas. I need an outback experience!
ReplyDeleteOh yes my feet remain dry as long as I remain indoors. The minute I step outside it's...splosh! At least I'm lucky to have the interior of my house still dry. I'm very thankful for that!
Have a great week!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, Arija. It's always a pleasure meeting new people. Thanks for bringing me images of a beautiful and faraway place.
ReplyDeleteThat wrought iron strut looks a lot like dried kelp! I love that one the most, but, what beautiful skies-rivals that of what we have here in the South West.
ReplyDeleteSo nice to view this natural landscape of your world.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shadow shots...
ReplyDeletebeautiful shadows here... thank you for taking me on a little trip to your corner of the world:)
ReplyDeleteNice shots. The outback is on my bucket list.
ReplyDeleteI can almost feel the antiquity of these shots, the extinct camel saddle, the ancient stone...THE HEAT...what an ancient setting you live in my dear and the fact that you REALLY see the beauty in it, makes it all the more grand...BTW...your roses are fabulous, have fun pruning...OUCH!!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images. I can see why you love it there.
ReplyDeleteAustrailia is the only country I have had any desire to visit. (There is so much of ours that I havn't really seen.) Are there any Standard Bred training centers in your area?
