This morning we had some clouds for a change,
at present, noon, it is 30C with a dessicating,
searingly hot northerly blowing. Great weather
for firestorms as the grass is already dry.
These sunrise photos are straight from the camera
and in sequence, a few minutes apart, from the
paddock just up hill from our house.
as the sun slipped in and out behind clouds, the
whole colour of the sky changed
the gold grew, and then faded to blue again
until it burst forth ito a whole sea of gold

Bei uns hat es heute geschneit. :-(
Wow, those photos are stunning! Thank you for explaining to me about Halloween. I know that in many countries there is a special day for the dead. It so happened that my father died on the 2nd November 51 years ago and my husband 9 years ago on the 9th of November. So November is very special for me, but I hate going to the churchyard.
ReplyDeleteGolly, that last photo is my all-time favorite! The golden burst of color and cloud ray haze is unbelievable!!
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing post!

ReplyDeleteHallo,
ReplyDeleteein berauschender Sonnenuntergang, schade, dass man dann die Zeit nicht anhalten kann, gut dass wir es mit der Kamera doch festhalten können.

Lovely sunrise! I understand your fears of a smoky landscape. We live surrounded by trees, and during the summer months forest fires are a big concern here in British Columbia. But, at this time of the year when temperatures cool and the ground is wet, the forest fire hazard diminishes considerably. I've added a note to my post, and I apologize for being so insensitive to your situation in Australia.
ReplyDeleteWOW. Those are great! I can't find the words to describe what I think of them. I'd love to have an enlargement of that bottom picture hanging on my wall so I could just stare at it.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning! The sequence is stunning!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazing! I'm rarely up early enough for sunrise. What a treat to see sunrise from another part of the world.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by.
Stunning photos...I can't imagine living in places that have such uncertainties like hurricanes, brush fires, floods. We may get snow and lots of it in Buffalo NY, but the house still stands....Benji is hanging in with his flock and calls to any geese that fly overhead...hugs to you Arija...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful sunrise shots.
