Arija - I have just spent the afternoon (a lovely Autumn day. here) pruning my tree peony, cutting back my iris plants and pruning various shrubs - and in your garden these very things are in bloom' What is in bloom here? Kaffir lilies in scarlet all over the garden, a few late roses and some rudbeckia. Have planted lots of bulbs today too.
Ariga: I must say this is unfair, here you are in Spring with all coming alive and we are ready to freeze over. What a great job of showing your splendor.
Ellen B, if I posted all the flowers that bloom today, you would still be scrolling through them next Sunday.
Paz, Luck has little to do with gardening, if you care to check out my post for August 'A Tired Gardener's Complaint' or 'Gardener's Hands' you may understand why.
Hi Arija, these are a fantastic variety of the most beautiful blooms. Truly great photographs. Thanks for stopping by my blog and identifying a couple of my flowers. Much appreciated.
Hi Arija, what wonderful flower photos. As our garden goes to sleep, yours is in full splendour. We do have the odd rose hanging on, the kaffir lilies have gone over now. Lots of violas are still showing their smiling faces, plus a pretty pink potentilla. The berries are gorgeous though. BT xx
Wow, you must have some kind of yard! These are beautiful. My flowering cherry hasn't started dropping it's leaves yet and won't flower until spring. I love those little pink flowers and so do the bees. :-)
I greatly enjoyed my stroll trough your flower garden. The colors are most refreshing, and I can almost smell them.No flowers in my Canadian garden now, but, spring will come again and so will the flowers.
Wunderschöne Frühlingsblumen! Herrlich, eine Freude sie zu sehen! Besonders weil bei uns ja jetzt der Herbst beginnt! Fein dass du jetzt auch bei Today's FLowers mitmachst!
We have had a frost so there isn't much left that is flowering except for my container Mums. I don't think they will last much longer. But I still hear insects at night so there is still some life around the pond.
Well, you definitely live in paradise! These are gorgeous flowers. . .as we head into fall and winter. . .sigh. But I still have herbs and most of my annuals living on my little apartment deck, and the Heavenly Blue morning glory is hanging on too. Thanks for sharing!
Ancient as time, favourite tree: the oak, animal: the wolf, flower: Anemone hepatica, place: a forest near water.Bird: too numerous to name, camera permanently grafted to hand, lover of light, nature, the sea, mountains, deserts, all forests, musing on the essence of being, loving all things great and small, caring for this wonderful planet of ours.
Irises are usually my favorites but those bluebells are heavenly
