This is what is blooming in my garden to-day in yellow,
with a little purple for contrast.
Pansies, though a little nibbled at, have such friendly faces
a fly basks on the Iris, a bee would have been nicer
the Powlonia, a fast growing tree, is just
starting to bloom
'Sutter's Gold' a Rose well worth having both
for scent and garden display

Climbing 'Gold Bunny' on the fence, blooms
continuously from early spring until pruning time

a little contrast in colour, a happy couple of Pansies
lastly, a scented Broom with a glimpse of morning
mist towards the Wild Wood

All lovely. So nice to continue to have blooms in the fall. Love the Sutter's Gold and the pansies especially. My snapdragons are scheduled to appear on my blog at about 4 pm EST.
ReplyDeleteLovely to see those flowers arija when our flowers are just beginning to die away. A very cold spell is forecast for this week here, so any last flowers will go and winter will really be here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely series! I especially like the nibbled pansies and wondering who may have tasted them!
ReplyDeleteHow nice to see all your lovely spring flowers. Also that very pretty Powlonia tree - a tree I'm not familiar with. Beautiful pictures!

Lovely photos! Pansies are my favourites :)
ReplyDeleteArija: What a wonderful collection of beautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteArija you have a wonderful spring display. I love pansies, their little faces and their lovely scent. My last yellow rose just snuffed it. Yours are gorgous. I have to get a new one.
ReplyDeleteHave you been to open gardens. Here they are open now and the ones I have see were very different but each one was great. I always get inspired.
What beautiful flowers growing in your garden, love the nibbled on pansy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! I especially like the pansies - I think Mom and Dad planted them every where they lived. Thanks for commenting on my sky watch and yes that is a water tower in the sunset.
ReplyDeleteLovely selection.
ReplyDeleteArija, the scent of the lilies filled all our three rooms! We had to close the bedroom door to be able to sleep!
ReplyDeleteI am fine, thank you, I only had little time for blogging lately because I started a rather time-comsuming diet where I have to cook all my meals by myself. I gained 20 pounds during the last 5 months after quitting smoking.
Chocolate replaced the nicotine pleasures for some time :)
I wish It was my garden - mine is mostly moss...
ReplyDeleteIt is nice to see that somewhere gardens are still in bloom
ReplyDeleteStunning photos of springtime~we had our first snow yesterday! Love pansy faces and can almost smell those roses. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place to be!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots. Your garden must be lovely! :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! Thanks for visiting my blog: I totally believe in treating myself to flowers. Who else will if I don't?
ReplyDeleteNow I see why you asked about the name of the rose I had today and its scent . . . you have such a beautiful place! I am not a gardener, just a retired lady with a digital camera who loves to walk and I find such beauties in my neighborhood and others. I don't feel I need to know the name of them to enjoy. Sometimes, others help me to identify them. I have allergies so I don't usually try to smell them.
ReplyDeleteI earmarked your site and shall return another day to browse. Thanks for coming by mine.
Beautiful to cheer a dark autumn evening.
ReplyDeleteMuito lindas as
ReplyDeletetuas fotos e flores!

Um beijo. lili
