OUR WORLD - Curved Balls and Water Skiing

As some of you may have noticed, my blogging and visiting
have both gone to the dogs. Life has been serving me a
succession of curved balls and my fielding skills have
unfortunately deserted me.

I have missed you all.

Here are a few shots I took in March, when times were happier
and we had a bit of a holiday in Renmark on the Murray River.

This chap was having great fun raising lots of spray to show off.

In fact, so much spray, he became invisible.

Then, like a ghostly apparition, there he was again.

I sincerely hope you are all having a great time where ever you are
in OUR WORLD!

  1. Hi Arija, I have been thinking of you. Lovely to see you posting today. I enjoyed your photos. I have never been up on water skis, probably because I am not a very good swimmer or very brave around the water. Have a great day my friend.

We all miss you and think of you -- but, as someone above commented, we don't want you to stress about not having time to post and visit. We'll keep thinking of you and visit (and enjoy) whenever you do post... Don't forget to take care of yourself!!!!

  16. Dear Arija, I have thought about you and wondered if maybe I just missed a post. You are the sweetest and always so encouraging. So allow me to encourage you now, please feel better, take care of yourself, as I already know you have so much care of others. Take an hour, even twenty minutes that are just for you and do it at least twice a day. You need to stay strong, for so many, including us, adore you~

  17. Hi there - good to see you back in web-land. Hope you manage to lay bat on a few of the curve balls.

Nice pictures - although I don't really like it when the water skiers come along! Not good for bird watching

    Cheers - Stewart M

  18. I'm taking these recent posts as an encouraging sign that your fielding skills are sharpening with the unwanted practice and will soon be unnecessary as the curve balls drop out of the picture. Clearly, your sense of humour is alive and well, because the commentary to go with those wonderful shots was perfect.

  20. Your photos were fun! However,I remember the mighty river as a little pre-schooler visiting my grandparents in the riverland in the late 1950's. There were lots of rowboats, murray cod, yabby nets and tortoises - the days before ski boats and jet skis - it was a much quieter place then.
Along with everyone here, I send my heartfelt best wishes that you feel better soon Arija. So sorry things have been difficult lately.

  21. Arija, hope that whatever is troublesome now will soon be sorted out and that you will be back on track like the water skier in this post.

  22. I've missed you too Arija. I've always wanted to water ski but too afraid to try.
Hope the week is going better.
