Even in spring, all is not rosy,
pansies suffering bug and snail damage
but such a pleasing colour combination
scow white primulas with a few pink ones and stocks
forget-me-nots had those nasty harlequin or stink bugs on them
although they were thankfully not palatable to them
I love looking the forget-me-nots in the eye and
checking out the hairy coats on the buds

Seems you can't get away from the bugs, no matter where you are! Even so your flowers still look lovely. I was delighted to see your forget-me-not as it's the state flower of Alaska. Of course I imagine it's a different variety, but nice to see them growing so far away.
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures - I was writing something that involved forget-me-nots today!
ReplyDeleteNot a scrap of blue sky here today - and the heating came back on!
Cheers - Stewart M
Arija, these are beautiful images. Hope you're having a great weekend. Blessings, Jo
ReplyDeletebeautiful collection of blooms, Arija! The forget-me-nots are my favorite. Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeletethey're still very pretty, no matter the dining on them. :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful are your photos!
ReplyDeleteGreetings, RW & SK
I agree that colour combination is indeed pleasing!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers, Arija, even if they are posing as a sofa for the those naughty bugs!! Hope your weekend is going well! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are so welcome to my eyes at this time of year.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous. My smaller portion has ruthlessly eradicated (or tried) the forget-me-knots here because of their 'stickiness'. Some still pop up though.
ReplyDeleteAh, BUGS! I wouldn't mind growing some plants especially for them if they would only leave the rest of my stuff alone. Even so the flowers are lovely.
ReplyDeleteYour comment on my recent post makes very good sense to me so I've deleted that part of the post as I try to give accurate information where I can. Thanks for pointing it out. Take care, John.
I had to look really hard to find the damage on those pansies, all I saw at first was the deep rich color. And the bug on the forget-me-nots is cute, I think.
ReplyDeleteArija, I love forget-me-nots! Lovely pics!
ReplyDeletePansies are my favorite and the colors are stunning. Bugs got to eat too.
ReplyDeleteI agree about the color combo on the pansies. It is very pleasing. The forget-me-nots are lovely!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures you show. Wish you a good Sunday :) Hanne Bente
ReplyDeleteExquisite shots of those pansies - unfortunately we have bug problems here in Spain too with our orange tree! Nature!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit and lovely comment!
Beautiful flowers and good capture of the visitor.
ReplyDeleteHi, me again!
ReplyDeleteThe orange tree's got "Citrus Leaf Miner". We've been advised to spray with a specialist insecticide containing Abamectin. So keeping all fingers crossed!
Hope your pansies are doing OK despite the attentions of those bugs!
Beautiful! I love the forget-me-nots.
ReplyDeleteOh love the 'forget me nots' ~ great macro shot, xxx
ReplyDeleteThose are really beautiful Arija, and that little visitor looks like a pretty little bug.
