TODAY'S FLOWERS - Oriental Lilies

This year I grew a few lilies in pots where I could keep them watered

and they sort of turned out all right. One even had 10 flowers on it.

I love the bright orange pollen

and the shadow-play of the stamens and pistil.

There is a great deal more in the garden in flower, so much indeed
that I could fill a book . . . but maybe not today.
