A sky of a happier time when there actually was a
cloud in the it!
Today we had a temperature of 41 C, that's 105.8F
Tomorrow we expect 44C or 111.2F, YOIKS! For more than a
week we have similar temps expected.
I have not seen such temperatures for a prolonged period
since Dec. 1958.

Sorry for posting just one pikkie, my specialist told me
today that for the duration, it is best for me to be on
4 times my medication and to stick to a horizontal position
with toes higher than nose.
Much as I would like to visit everyone, it may not be
possible from such a lowly position.
Oh Arija, I hope the heat lets up and that you also feel better soon. Best to keep to doctor's orders for now. We'll all still be here when you're up and about again. Thanks for your regular visits to my blog. Blessings Jo
ReplyDeleteNow, that's hot! Lovely sky shot.
ReplyDeleteMay the temps drop to give you some relief and keep those feet up girl. Praying for your improved health.
ReplyDeleteI do hope you get a break in the heat and that you'll soon feel better and Jo is right, do what the doctor says!! I'll surely be here for you!
ReplyDeleteSylvia
oh dear! both on the heat and the prone positioning! bless you!
ReplyDeleteI'd call both the weather and the new medical directive as bummers!!! Hope there's an improvement in both real soon.
ReplyDeleteHello Arija, thinking of you here in frigid CO and hoping your temps come down soon and you can be up and about again.
ReplyDeletePlease do take good care of yourself in that kind of heat.
ReplyDeleteDelightful, wispy clouds! At last Melbourne has some high summer temps too! Should be 41 degrees C today! Do hope you are feeling better soon! And stay cool!

ReplyDeleteWe have visitors today. Husband has known for two days and forgot to pass on the message - hoping they cancel because of the extreme heat.
ReplyDeleteHope you can keep cool and comfortable Arija - as comfortable as you can be with toes higher than your nose!

wow! high temperature in Dec?! BTW, lovely shot!
ReplyDeleteAasargh. We are all sweltering, and the ground cover is crisping up far too fast. Look after yourself as best you can. We will be here when you can sit up again. Much love.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year Arija! Those are really searing temperatures, i think we got a high of only 37C last year and we can't get out of the house or offices. If you will stay that way most of the time, maybe it is time to custom built your computer so you will still be able to post, just joking. But why is that position needed? I am sorry i missed many of your posts. I hope you are well or get well soonest. take care!
ReplyDeleteWowza - keep cool!
ReplyDeleteThose clouds look like birds flying. We had a few days of warm, and today at 22 degrees, I am wearing a jacket,
ReplyDelete"if you dont think this is hot, you must have been born on the Sun" - which I think is a line from a film. But its true enough!
ReplyDeleteCheers - Hot in Melbourne (aka Stewart M)
I love those pretty clouds ~ my contribution today is of similar wispy clouds, also plucked from the past! But there the similarity ends. I know I have a northern hemisphere bias, but I can't shake the belief that January is supposed to be cold and snowy! Those temperatures of yours are just wrong. I sure hope that oppressive heat quickly dissipates and you get get some clouds bearing welcome rain. I also wish you a rapid recovery so you can assume the full upright and locked position soon! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh Arija -- don't even try to think about visiting or answering, I'm just leaving a message of encouragement in case you are even able to read comments from that position. Yoiks indeed, both about the heat and the not feeling good "stuff" (insert whatever word you'd use in this place). Best wishes.
ReplyDeleteA REAL cloud or two would be VERY welcome!! But ... I'll take what I can get - your virtual cloud is wonderful! I hope you're feeling better soon ...
ReplyDeleteHope the heat is not adding to your illness. Take care, and Happy New Year.
ReplyDeletebest wishes from Austria! Liebe Grüße von kri!
