Shadow Shot Sunday ~ Just Shadows

The path along the front of the house is an infinite source of
morning shadows . . .

a constitutional walk in the morning along the tracks between
our paddocks opens another world of colour and animals

seeking shade from the hot summer sun.

Our paddocks are dried off unlike Queensland, New South
Wales and Victoria who are all in the grip of floods while
Western Australia has been fighting deliberately lit bushfires.

Massive floods have also beset Sri Lanka and Brazil. In Sri
Lanka the loss of life has been horrendous. Brazil
has had major landslides as well as floods.

In Queensland the population has rallied as a whole and are
helping complete strangers to clean the mud and debris from
their houses, tradesmen are offering their services free of
charge as are veterinarians. There have been traffic jams with
long queues of cars of people volunteering aid.

Hats off to the Queenslanders showing true community spirit!

Tracy, one of those brave Queenslanders, at HEY HARRIET, hosts
this meme. I for one hope her house stayed dry.

MY WORLD ~ Garden Friends

When I step outside, I have friends waiting everywhere . . .
some who sit around
*

*
others flying over head
*

*
some fair weather friends
*

*
and some for stormy weather
*

*
some not so pretty who come out at dusk
*

*
and others who are always there when you need them.
These are but a few of the friends I see every day and who
always keep a smile on my face.

Watery Wednesday ~ White horses on the Wind

*

*
Sea horses galloping
white manes flying
noses into the wind.
*
Where do they run to
what do they seek
snorting in the storm.
*
They seek their freedom
they seek their home
far, far from churning foam.

MY WORLD ~ 7 Some Animals on the Farm

Please scroll down for TODAY'S FLOWERS

My computer has been out of commission for
few days so this is not what I promised which,
God willing, will follow next week.

I give you instead some of my 'grand' animals
on the farm.

One of a number in the chook yard, this one was
so fluffed up and broody it was kind of cute

the grandchildrens' bunnies, there are 6 in all

A clutch of ducklings from the farmers' market
acquired last week

two of the 5 horses my daughter and two grand-
daughters have

The old dog Kip and her new friend Rex

Our grandson's dog Rex with flyaway ear
turning like a stock horse on a sixpenny bit

This is but a small selection of the animals in my world.
I hope you have enjoyed them a little.

My thanks to the SkyWatch/My World team for giving
us this opportunity to show something of what we hold
dear.
