Such delightful, beautiful little birds and your captures are fantastic! I love the sunlight and shadows!! Hope your week is going well, Arija! I somehow feel you are getting better every day and I am so glad!! I continue to hold good thoughts!
Buy them because you love them by all means but plant anything in the onion family under your roses. It does not kill the aphids but the smell confuses them so much that they do not breed!
Superb, they are! Most of the birds have left us to fly south. Just the year-rounders left. I don't mind the changes of seasons, they each have their endearing qualities. But I sure miss the sound of bird song in the mornings.
Well, now that we are settled in Perth for a month, I have time to visit here! Love your little birdies! I have seen so many here in Australia. Quite beautiful in song and color! Unfortunately, we only flew through Adelaide, so didn't get to see the city. But we have seen quite a bit already. We've been to Sydney, Melbourne, Port Campbell, Port Douglas, Ayers Rock, Alice Springs and now Perth. I think my favorite area so far was the Great Ocean Road Drive & the 12 Apostles. Very dramatic! Such a large country and so much to see!
It is the tits here that remove the aphids. As I write blue tits and great tits are methodically working through my berberis plant I can see outside the window.
Ancient as time, favourite tree: the oak, animal: the wolf, flower: Anemone hepatica, place: a forest near water.Bird: too numerous to name, camera permanently grafted to hand, lover of light, nature, the sea, mountains, deserts, all forests, musing on the essence of being, loving all things great and small, caring for this wonderful planet of ours.
oh, they're so cute!!!

What a nice trip! The orange blossoms sounds lovely. Muffy is a cutie and I love the Guinea too. Thanks for sharing your trip! Have a happy week!
Give those birds a medal. Or a double helping. I am tempted to buy ladybugs to fight our aphids. And because I love them.
