TODAY'S FLOWERS ~ 9 More Southern Sun

Pleasw scroll down for SkyWatch and MY WORLD

More mellow yellow for the sun starved in the
far, far north.

Fine, perfumed golden Broom, drought tolerant
and garden friendly as it is sterile and does not
become a pest like others of it's kind.

One of our Native Cymbidiums with more than
40 flowers per well over a yard long bract.

'Peace' gleaming like thin sunlight.

and a little later, with the glow of afternoon.

A little sunshine from my garden to brighten your days.

This meme was conceived by Luiz Santilli Jr. and is
managed by Denise B. Castro and Laerte Pupo. To all
three my sincere thanks.

  1. What a beautiful rhapsody in yellow, gold!
I love the abundance of your spring/summer garden - it's more than lovely.
I don't use the coloured cabbage for Christmas decoration either. Haha, what a funny idea! I jst see them as a symbol for our long cold winter season, as an artificial alternative to your golden blossoms :))
I'm soooo happy about having had enough strength to quit smoking again. Unfortunately, most people get addicted and it's not easy to quit.
I just came over from Fida's blog, she's posting Swiss snowy mountain pictures - what a wonderful contrast to your golden blossoms!

  2. Arija! How beautiful! You are a real gardener, but I think I said that before, didn't I? Are all these flowers in your garden?

  3. These yellow clowers are like sunshine penetrating cloudy morning. Absolutely beautiful and yellow is my color. I am cleaning the house today and going to the floral shop to buy flowers. I realized that the day I stopped having flowers in the house, my troubles started. Not so much because I stopped the flowers but because it was a symptom. Thank you Arija, may I please say that I love you?

  13. Arija you have a wonderful golden day. I am glad that you got some rain and I hope it helps in your garden to keep the precious plants alive. I like the peace rose with its delicate yellow, I like to call it by its Italian name "Gioa".
Broom does not last in my garden, so I do love it.
