TODAY'S FLOWERS ~ Desert Flowers, Parachilna Gorge

More photos of dry-land wildflowers from our recent trip.

I will do my best to add the names I can find tomorrow when
I am rested.

The very thorny but so pretty Solanum,

and a European interloper, the blue Pimpernel.

All photos enlarge as usual.

The Logo will open a world of flowers and give you a chance to
join in as well.

Thanks to Luiz Santilli Jr. and his flower team.

  3. These shots are marvelous! I think I enjoy taking pictures of wildflowers more than garden flowers. Maybe it's the walk through the countryside.

  13. Don't you just love these desert blooms? There is one flower that looks familiar, but not sure, the rock rose (pink).

  15. I recognize the third one! We grow it here as an ornamental annual, it's called Ptilotus, (botanical name), sometimes pussytails or mulla mulla. That's why I remembered it--because I like the names so much. The rest, I don't knw but they sure are gorgeous.
