Some things have not been going so well lately
and I feel a big grumbling fit coming on
on top of that, whilst driving home, I was side-swiped
by a great big bus . . .
but grumbling is no use at all, you just chew up the nasties up and
spit them out . . .
Sunrise a few days ago, looked like it was going to be a beauty
but gradually, it started becoming a little scary
and as the gold on the horizon glowed, the clouds darkened
as though it were the end of the world.
The darkness seemed all embracing,
just like my mood today.
I do hope others have happier skies to offer.
Wow! The light offsets the dark clouds perfectly!! And isn't a 'happy' sky just a little - well - boring?? Hope things are better for you soon!
ReplyDeleteHello Arija, it's good to be back! Your skies do look dramatic. I hope today is a beautiful happy day for you - sending you giraffe greetings from our world!
ReplyDeleteI know -- sometimes a sky like that looks magical and sometimes it just looks ominous. However it looks to you though, your pictures always look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI hope you get the magic back!
i've been trying to fight a funk, too - and not very well...
ReplyDeleteWonderful images Arija... I am still waiting for a spell of good weather this year...
ReplyDeleteBig hug Arija.
ReplyDeleteSuch dramatic skies and wonderful capture of the stunning changes. You don't do things by halves with the great big bus. So happy that you are still here and not in hospital. On the road out of Balhanna to Carey Gulley a large truck in front of me used his right indicator, - I thought he meant me to pass him, telling me as all was clear ahead. He was in fact turning into an indistinct (to me) road on the right. It was unfamiliar territory and I was pleased to get home that day!
Keep safe, warm and well. Thinking of you. xx
Those skies may be dark, but there is still a bright lining.
ReplyDeletehahaha Arija, maybe the skies sometimes mirror our consciousness too! That first one is really a bit scary, i see those skies and feel the same sometimes. But yes, as the seconds pass the sky's emotion changes so fast, let's hope ours follow too!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant captures.
ReplyDeleteLove these shots Arija, especially the last rather ominous looking sky. Hope you have a happy weekend.
ReplyDeleteGlorious golden sunrise.
ReplyDeleteI am a firm believer in 'give us this day our daily whinge'. Let it out, and let it go.
ReplyDeleteI am sorry that things are tough for you at the moment and the bus dingle must have been almost the last straw.
A truly dramatic sunrise (ours are usually galah colours in soft pinks and greys), which I hope is the start of dramatic improvement in your world.
Oh, I think it's a stunning sunrise!
ReplyDeleteWhat glorious golden dawn skies! Hope your mood has lifted now.
ReplyDeleteBeing side-swiped by a big bus has to be scarier than that ominous sky. Hope you are OK.
ReplyDeletebeautiful clicks
ReplyDeletehappy SWF
Lovely captures. I hope you are in a better mood now. Happy sky watching.
ReplyDeleteMy sky.
Hi Arija - We can't be cheerful all the time! You are entitled to feeling grumpy. But just remember that things could be worse - you could be living in a place like Saudi Arabia, where you can't drive at all, just because you are a woman. See? There is always something to be grateful for. You can drive!
ReplyDeleteSorry, things are not going well Arija! I am glad you were not hurt with the side swipe. Your golden captures are lovely, a beautiful sunrise. Wishing you happy skies and a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteDrama... how fascinating the way the external weather so often reflects our inner weather. If you are feeling happier tomorrow evening (and I hope you will, and this inner storm will pass) I'm hosting I Heart Macro... would love to see the love you have to share up close as part of the meme.
ReplyDeleteWonderful sky!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful photos! I hope for you grumbling is over and you have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeletewhat a fiery sunrise! i hope this turned out to be a beautiful day...here's wishing you get your mojo back.:p
ReplyDeleteI hope you are ok..... Hugs...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots! Stay well..
ReplyDeleteGreat gold colour.
ReplyDeleteDollar for dollar I think that the monopod pushes well above it weight!
cheers

Just look for the sun behind the clouds
ReplyDeleteI'd be in a poor mood if I were up before sunrise --LOL-- But, you were rewarded with some lovely shots; and, I'm certain that dark sky gave way to a brighter one.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Those skies are on fire!
ReplyDeleteHey, gorgeous sky, wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThose golden skies are gorgeous. Thanks for asking about me. I was visiting a close friend who spent a week in the hospital so it wasn't me for a change. I'm doing fine and my friend was released and is doing well.
ReplyDeleteHope your mood finally swung to a good resting place. Lovely skies!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the clouds are gone, but the gold remains in those gorgeous photos.
ReplyDeleteStunning photos! Great colors.
ReplyDeleteStill beautiful though. :)
ReplyDeleteA beautiful one captured.
