Thick and wonderful, they came charging over the hill
even the East was awash with them
They billowed into glorious Nimbus
and were sucked up into the upper atmosphere by the burning sun
without shedding a single drop!
The only moisture around was in my eyes as all hope departed.

Beautiful clouds! But I'm sorry they didn't bring the much needed rain. Wish I could send you some of our snow!! Love your captures though!! Hope you have a lovely weekend, Arija!!
ReplyDeleteI like these cloudy sky shots.
ReplyDeleteHI Arija Yes, the sky is full of billowing clouds and I am sorry it did not stop to drop a spot of rain.. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteI'm reminded of our sons' basketball game tonight.
ReplyDeleteThey played into two overtime periods, still tied, only to lose by a basket in the final seconds.
My husband said, "It's the most disappointing, losing like that when you're so close. I'd rather just be stomped & know I'm going to lose than to be that close & miss out." I don't know which is better in basketball.. but your clouds remind me of that closeness to victory, to feel it coming, only to have it slip away by a slim margin.
Thinking rain drop thoughts for you, Arija!
Wonderful series of clouds. Sorry the rain didn't arrive. Hoping rain gently covers your area soon.

Arija, the clouds are beautiful. I am just sorry they did not bring you the rain you needed.. Have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots, Arija, but I hope you can see some clouds that bring rain at last.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing and enjoy your weekend.
i am so sorry. they were so gorgeously promising.
ReplyDeleteThe clouds look majestic -- I hope you enjoy your weekend (rain or shine). :)
ReplyDeleteOh darn, beautiful clouds but no rain. I hope it comes soon Arija.
ReplyDeleteWe are FINALLY having some rain here in California...I wish I could send some your way too...
ReplyDeleteLovely cloud shots Arija. I am sure folk in the South of England would gladly send you some of their water.
ReplyDeleteCloud on the roll. Even though they were unsettled still makes an nice sight.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous clouds but I'm sorry you didn't get any rain.
ReplyDeleteThey do look good and promising. I do hope you get rain soon.
ReplyDeleteOh I'm sad too -- you needed those clouds to DO something. California here in our country and to some extent Oregon are having the same trouble....no rain, they are talking about rationing it for the farmers so that all the zillions of people there will have enough. But our whole country depends on California agriculture. Terrible scary situation. I don't know what will happen.
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly more directly affected. But it brings tears to my eyes too.
Hi Arija, beautiful clouds, even without the rains...
ReplyDeleteI have so been missing you. Did you get my message that I cannot get to my Google email messages now since end of last year. I also am having trouble with uploading my images, and found a way to sneak them in one at a time. If you have written me one of your sweet messages, I have not been able to view them.
We are in bitter COLD here for 3 weeks now, snow, ice, and low temperatures. I would send you a bucket of snow, it would be like rain by the time it arrived.
Love and hugs~
