SkyWatch ~ Rider in the Sky

About a hundred miles from home, I noticed a galloping
horse keeping up with our 110 kilometre speed. At first,
I thought nothing of it and enjoyed the company but when
I saw the little girl sitting well up on it's neck, I kept my
eyes peeled to make sure she stayed on at that pace.

As the sun dropped lower and lower in the sky, they still
kept pace with us, obviously they were happily riding into
the sunset together.

With the setting sun, they disappeared

as we drove on towards home.

As the sun was turned off, the lights came on . . . sixty miles
to go and we'll be home.

Most of you will know by now that all my photos enlarge with a click.

If you haven't joined SkyWatch yet, here is your big chance, click on
the Logo on my space bar and you can both fly the skies of the world
and add those that you see every day wherever you are.

  4. I think she lasted quite a long time Arija. Often these things disappear in the blink of an eye.

  18. In the eye of the beholder - what I saw was a hand reaching out to grasp something, but then after looking again I could see the horse and rider. Great shots.

  21. Oh Arija -- I love this sky dream! And I can see the horse and then the rider in your progressive pictures....great! (Wouldn't that have been a great one to introduce sky watchiong to a small child? It reads like a lovely child's book!)
