TODAY'S FLOWERS & I Heart Macro - Vallota Lily

This year I only had one stem of my Vallota Lilies
with two blooms on it

it got a little bruised with the recent rains
but was joy to see nonetheless

Enjoy your flowers today
who knows what they will be like tomorrow!

  3. The Vallota lily we don't know that here, sounds rather exotic, but it is a real beauty.

  4. More beautiful flowers, even if only one stem. You are blessed.

  5. Dearest Arija,
so good to see that your Vallota Lily made it through the rain, coming through with some extra sparkle!

And so true, one needs to live and enjoy the moment, lest it may not be here anymore tomorrow.

    Hugs,

  9. What a deep rich colour Arija .... the beauty of flowers is like that ... very fleeting!

  10. A lovely thing - thank you. I do an almost daily voyage of discovery through the garden, seeing what is coming up, what is blooming, what is fading and it is a daily treat. And some days I do it several times.

  12. Oh I love this lily Arija. I know there's a deeper meaning (and an analogy to life) to 'enjoy your flowers today, who knows what they will be tomorrow' but I have to say that it reminds me of when we used to garden in Oregon..the lilies and daffodils and peonies would come out and be beautiful for a short while and then too often the rains would knock them down. Fleeting joys -- but joys nevertheless.

  13. It's always good to enjoy what we have and not be sad about what we do not. Lovely images.
