In the North Flinders Ranges the country and driving gets a
bit rugged. What seems like a puddle from a distance,
seldom can gauge how deep it is in the middle or whether the
flash flood has dug some axle breaking holes in the ford.
This time we were lucky.
All photos enlarge for better viewing.
Thanks to 2sweetnsaxy for getting our feet wet on Wednesdays.
Yes … depth can be difficult to gauge from a distance. A camera also can fail to show depth but you did a great job of exposing the “puddle” for what it really is. :)ReplyDelete
love those reflections!ReplyDelete
My Watery Wednesday
I like those shots. But it seems you have to be very careful.ReplyDelete
You never waste an opportunity to shoot, I like that a lot.ReplyDelete
Must I assume these are drive by shots?
Have a lovely day.
Great series of watery shots.ReplyDelete
That does look rather deep. Arija! You can borrow our submarine if you like! :) I love the photo with the reflected trees particularly.ReplyDelete
It looks like a lake when you get up close to it! Good reflections in it!ReplyDelete
You do have to be careful. The weather folks around here have a saying for deep water." Go around, don't drown."ReplyDelete
Have a great rest of the week Arija.
That is one incredible, photogenic puddle. Beautiful shots.ReplyDelete
this truly shows how one must be aware, always would be good!ReplyDelete
i am there
Hope no one had to go walk ahead check the depth. ;) Glad you made a safe crossing in that beautiful terrain. Nice reflections.ReplyDelete
Great photos and looking things at different perspectives help us see things brightly and rightfully.ReplyDelete
a puddle that looks like a river.:pReplyDelete
i'd prefer to be in a convoy than crossing this by myself. great series of photos.
Great shots of something that does not seem to be so much, from a distance. Beautiful reflections!ReplyDelete
That can be a tad bit scary when you don't know just how deep the water is in the middle.ReplyDelete
I would hate to have to wade through it to find out. glug, glug as I sink under the to deep water.
Have a lovely week, Arija.
Beautiful photos, and a most exciting account. Thanks for sharing this.ReplyDelete
All the best, Boonie
So much serenity in these shots!ReplyDelete

I'm glad you got through that okay Arija, made for some great photos.ReplyDelete
