How wonderful it is after a dry and almost flowerless summer,
this lovely perfumed orchid has presented me with two spikes
of blooms!
If you look into the heart, there is a leprechaun mending
the purple striped carpet.

How whimsical to see a little person hard at work in the center of this beauty. :-) Orchids reward patience with long blooms.
ReplyDeleteThat is a spectacular orchid.
ReplyDeleteOh yes Arija, i saw the leprechaun. Thanks for telling us, i will definitely look for them again during garden shows. I will try to get it pose for me too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous bloom. And I do see the leprechaun.
ReplyDeleteoh, now that is COOL! thanks for pointing out the leprechaun!
ReplyDeleteOh indeed, I can see that leprechaun so clearly Arija - thanks for pointing him out on this exotic flower.
ReplyDeleteI see him! I see him!!! Hello dearest Arija! Yes I will, this weekend. I think I have known it all along but sometimes I get sidetracked and think of my selfish needs. In my entire nursing career and after all the tragedies I have witnessed, those who prosper and survive gracefully and those who pass though this world without bitterness are those I have known to have loved and been loved.People who are surrounded by true love seem to be at peace even if they go through hell and adversity and nothing seems right. If they remember that they are loved, they seem to find the right way.
ReplyDeleteU vás je po lete, my sa nevieme dočkať jari :-) Orchidey kvitli počas zimy aj na mojom okne v obývacej izbe. Tá tvoja je krásna, také nemám. Ja mám doma iba phalaenopsis.
ReplyDeleteSuch an exquisite orchid and a fantastic capture, Arija! And, yes, I love the leprechaun! ! Such a delightful post for the day! Hope you have a lovely weekend!
ReplyDeleteI am so envious of your ability to keep Orchids so nice. I finally purchased a really lovely one and I had the lady teach me what to do and then I came home and while I was perfecting the method, I managed to kill it...ugh. Beautiful beautiful~
ReplyDeleteorchid is one of my favorites, but I can't ever grow them. I love the color of your orchid here.
ReplyDeleteA perfumed orchid! How fabulous. Sadly I lack the green thumb necessary to keep them propagating.
ReplyDeleteAh! what a delightful bloom Arija ... the colour is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous bloom and photo! The leprechaun is doing a great job with that carpet!
